We’ve seen that life runs on DNA, an astonishing code written in every cell. But here’s the question: where did this first burst of information come from?

Natural selection explains how life changes over time. It preserves useful traits that already exist. But without a code already in place, evolution has nothing to act upon.

In every other case we know—books, blueprints, computer software—information comes from an intelligent source. This is why we at Intelligently Designed know that life’s code is best explained not by undirected chemistry alone, but by a mind behind the design.

Meaning Behind the Code
DNA is not random scribbles. It’s structured, meaningful information. The existence of code points us beyond matter and chance—to purpose, intention, and design.

The Bible affirms this truth: creation was not an accident, intentionally designed with order and purpose to fill our world with people:

“For this is what the Lord says—he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited—he says: ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other.’”
— Isaiah 45:18
